At Solar Alt, our staff are fully certified to ensure the highest standards of safety and quality. We are Green Seal certified, trained in working at heights, and hold certifications in earthing, bonding, and lightning & surge protection. Additionally, our electricians are registered with the Department of Labour and proudly hold Red Seal qualifications, reflecting their expertise and professionalism.
Where We Started
Solar activities started in 2011 and were executed under Solar@Global TV and mainly focused on converting numerous existing electrical geysers to flat plate solar collectors and evacuating tube systems as well as the installation of new solar aided geysers.
Solar Photovoltaic (PV) system were introduced at the beginning of 2014.
Since then, several small and large hybrid, grid-tie and off-grid domestic and commercial systems were installed (with and without battery backup) as well as geyser and heat pump conversions and installations.
As a result of our ultimate success our new identity, SOLAR Alt (PTY) Ltd, was registered in July 2016.
SolarAlt established relationships with national and international technologies partners to offer a wide range of quality solar products, such as panels, inverters, batteries, switchgear, mounting structures and other solar related products. The products we use are mainly from Canada, Germany, Australia, China, South Africa, as well as other solar equipment manufacturing countries.
We have access to In-house and South African based design and technology associates, to offer the best return on investment as well as alternatives, to ensure each system is customised to your specific requirements and needs.
We are a Specialist Team who install Alternative Energy Systems and build Long-Term Relationships with our customers, to accomplish maximum customer satisfaction
Our Reputation
Over the past 13 years we have installed more than 800 single and three phase Solar Photovoltaic systems, up to 200 kW and battery backup up to 400 kWh
